After the water level come harvesting, pruning, weeding and feeding. In settings you decide per action whether you want a notification, a badge on the bed, both or neither — for yourself, not for everyone in the garden.
The plan is the heart of the app and the screen that has to carry the most. Planned: zoom, more room when many plants sit close together, and a proper answer for objects that hide one another.
Right now the calendar is missing exactly the dates that come from your plants. Sowing, transplanting and harvest windows will appear there, together with your garden's to-dos and meetings.
An invitation opens in the browser today, even when the app is already installed. It shouldn't — one tap on the link should land straight in the garden.

In Switzerland, Germany and Austria the watering plan already uses real weather stations rather than a model estimate. That matters most when a local storm passes: a grid product smooths it away, a nearby station measures it. France and Italy come next, then more countries whose weather services publish their readings openly.
Photograph a leaf and ask “what is this?” — instead of leafing through a field guide. The technology is ready; what is open is how honestly the app handles uncertainty. A diagnosis that sounds more certain than it is does real damage in a garden.
Today the Garden Coach forgets after two weeks. But the fact that beetles ate whole rows last year is exactly the kind of thing you want to know next spring — and that it should bring up by itself.
At the end of the season the app knows what stood in which bed, what did well and what failed. That should turn into a proposal for next year — with crop rotation, not against it.
“Cherry tomato” and “beefsteak” are not the same plant and don't need the same data. Varieties should get an entry of their own instead of overwriting the species.
Both languages can be selected today, but large parts of the app fall back to English. In a country with four national languages that is not a state you can leave alone.

When beetles show up in the plot next door, they're with you tomorrow. An anonymous warning to nearby gardens would be the obvious answer — but it has to work without exposing anyone's location, and that part is not thought through yet.
